Unit 6: Southwest Asia and North Africa
There will not be a test for this unit but you will be assessed in a different manner. Instead of having to recall information taught over a period of time, I will be assessing you on how you process the information. This will be done through a portfolio; a collection of artifacts that reflects your overall efforts, progress, and achievements. Creating a portfolio means that you will need to stay organized and keep track of all of your artifacts. You will be given approximately two days each week to work on your portfolio in class, but the rest of the work will need to be done on your own at home. When you are given class time to work on your artifacts, you must have all of the necessary materials with you in class. You will not be allowed to work on any other assignments at that time. Your portfolio will contain the following artifacts: Social Studies Artifact: (choose ONE)
Science Artifact:
Art Artifact: (choose ONE)
Mathematics Artifact: (choose ONE)
EXTRA CREDIT OPTION: Language Arts Artifact (choose ONE)
